Pastor Cecil Jackson has served in the Alabama-West Florida Conference since 1986.
Cecil is a native of Mobile, AL. He is a graduate from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, and of the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta.
Cecil’s passion is to help others forward in faith and holiness. He ministers the gospel out of a deep love for the witness of Scripture, the early Church, the doctrinal standards and General Rulesof the United Methodist Church. . This passion has led to the development of the New Room Project. Taking its name from the world’s first Methodist building, the New Room Projectis a small group ministry devoted to equipping believers to “become like Jesus from the inside out…together”.
Cecil’s wife, Connie, grew up in an Air Force family. She calls Panama City home, where she studied at Gulf Coast State College.
They have two adult children, Nick, who lives in the Nashville area, and Amanda, who lives in Panama City.
